This hot group from The Southern Island (Tassie!) combine the riotous joy of classic New Orleans music with typical Australian sun (and beer) drenched larking about. Playing brilliant, infectious tunes from greats such as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, Bix Beiderbecke, and Kid Ory, The Rugcutters bring pure, unadulterated energy and a serious sense of respect and fun to this wonderful repertoire from the 1920s and 30s.
For their latest ‘North Island’ show, they will be joined by the sophisticated and sassy jazz vocalist Tamara Kuldin.
