Experience a live performance from Australia's most talented Pink Floyd tribute act, The Dark Side, followed by a 40th-anniversary screening of iconic film Pink Floyd - The Wall (1982) in gorgeous 70mm.
The Dark Side – A Pink Floyd Experience is a band of 7 talented musicians recreating the songs from the golden era of Pink Floyd's vast repertoire. The show reproduces songs from the classic albums: The Dark Side Of The Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and the concept masterpiece that is The Wall, along with a few surprises. Their performances recreate the sensory and sonic experience that transformed Pink Floyd into psychedelic rock music icons.
Pink Floyd – The Wall (1982), inspired by the 1979 Pink Floyd album of the same name and written by band member Roger Waters, is a deeply surreal journey through music and madness. It follows successful but drugged-out musician Pink (Bob Geldof) looking back on his isolated childhood from the confines of a Los Angeles hotel room. Through a swirl of flashbacks and chemical-induced hallucinations, Pink recalls his lonely upbringing, during which he built a symbolic wall to the world as he coped with the death of his father (James Laurenson) and his overbearing mother (Christine Hargreaves).
