Vladimir Bogdanov (Khabenskiy) is a successful writer and TV presenter gracing book signings and glamorous night clubs while regularly engaging in affairs with powerful men’s wives. Talented but disaffected he inhabits a world hypocrisy and sanctimony, irresponsibility and consumerism. Unexpectedly Bogdanov finds himself supplanted by a carbon-copy impostor. His life as he knew it begins to fall apart. He flees to his friend who convinces him that this is all in his mind. The new Bogdanov charms his ex-wife while the old Bogdanov loses everything and is thrown into a mental asylum. Only his daughter has doubts about his identity. What is behind all this? Can Bogdanov get his old life back? This psychological thriller is not just about identity theft, but about something deeper - the doppelgänger tragedy, and how our online personas take up most of our lives.
