BLAKE PAVEY & REUBEN SOLO – Two of Australia’s most electric comedians at Lido  

BLAKE PAVEY
Blake Pavey is an AACTA-nominated comedian who performed to over 11,000 people during the course of his sold-out debut national tour. Alongside his standup, Blake is best known for his sketch comedy characters online and boasts over 1.1 million followers online. He also competed as a finalist in the 2022 Raw Comedy competition. Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at a young age, Blake is able to draw on his experiences in a lighthearted and humorous way. Pavey's stand-up delicately weaves elements of darkness and light, moving the audience to the brink of tears, before landing a hefty punchline that leaves them in (metaphorical) stitches. 

REUBEN SOLO 
Beginning his career as a stand-up, Reuben's comedy has since careened off the rails and now resembles a kind of shambolic fever dream. His 2023 show Palindrome won a Best Comedy award at the Adelaide Fringe, while his intricately crafted sketches have garnered him a loyal following online - a following he has gleefully exploited. Selling out his run at Edinburgh Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival as well as capacity shows in London, Sydney, Brisbane, Dublin and Amsterdam to name a few. Aided and hindered by his sound tech and saboteur James McLennan, Reuben delivers a surreal, chaotic performance on the bleeding edge of live comedy. His debut special Feedback Loop is due for release in November.
