Omul is a ten-year-old boy who lives in a seaside village with his parents, older brother Mikro and younger sister Kimi. Nervous and insecure, Omul lives in the shadow of Mikro, who gets to go out fishing everyday with their father, who Omul desperately wants to impress.
One day when Omul and Kimi are playing at the beach, the weather suddenly changes, and a huge wave washes the siblings out to sea. While underwater, Omul witnesses Kimi’s soul being stolen by a feared and mysterious creature named Sadumea, who is the subject of many local legends and myths. When Omul wakes up in hospital, he finds out that Kimi is in a coma. He also discovers that he now possesses the ability to talk to animals. Together with Mikro and a dog named Tela, Omul starts a dangerous journey to save his sister.
