This fantastical live-action adventure stars Emmy and BAFTA-winning actor Martin Freeman and is adapted from the best-selling fantasy novel by The Neverending Story author Michael Ende.

Momo is a young orphan girl who lives in the ruins of an old Roman amphitheatre and has a rare gift for listening, always lending an open ear to everyone in the neighbourhood. Most of all, she loves spending time with her best friend Gino.

When a greedy and powerful corporation run by the Grey Men begin stealing people's time to fuel their own existence, people become obsessed with productivity and efficiency and lose their joy and social connections. No one has time for Momo anymore, not even Gino! Then, a mysterious tortoise named Cassiopeia appears and leads Momo to Master Hora, the Guardian of Time. Can they take on the sinister Grey Men who have stealthily taken over her city? An exciting race to save everyone’s time ensues.

This film is co-presented by Goethe-Institut.
