Come with Buster out into the vast open spaces where men are men and cows are their only lady friends.

Keaton's brilliant parody of Westerns sees him tackle all the staples of the genre. Go West (1925) includes gunfights, cattle wrangling, high-speed train chases and dangerous lawmen, all portrayed with Keaton's characteristic deadpan daring. But the film's greatest achievment is balancing these farcical elements with a moving and heartfelt narrative.

Keaton stars as a New Yorker who has little luck at keeping a job in the city. He decides to move to the country and eventually finds his way to leading a herd of cattle to the West Coast.

Screens with the short film The Play House (1921), a technically-inventive marvel packed full of gags which harken back to Keaton's vaudeville origins.
