The Story

A family of Finnish degenerates realise the best way to remain perpetually intoxicated is to own a bar in sunny Costa del Sol in the south of Spain. Life is good, booze is cheap, and any anxiety is obliterated by the maintenance of dangerously high blood alcohol levels. But when their drinking money runs out, the demanding Albanian mafia threaten murder and – worse yet – seizure of their beloved bar. To save their skin, the family devise a hare-brained plan to kidnap and ransom the lover of one of the most infamous criminals of the city... without much thought for the macabre consequences that may follow.  

Outlandish Finnish director JP Valkeapää (Dogs Don’t Wear Pants) returns with a darkly atmospheric, absurdly odd, creepily romantic and darkly funny crime-caper comedy that boldly subverts any genre rules, expectations or instincts.
