Classic  offers a variety of unique event spaces, which can cater for everything from an intimate birthday gathering in one of our smaller boutique cinemas, to sizeable corporate functions, school group bookings or fundraisers in our larger theatres.

Our group bookings manager is here to help design your event, tailoring it to your specific needs. You can book in a new release blockbuster or foreign-language title, or enquire about screening a retro favourite that you’d love to re-experience on the silver screen. We also offer flexibility in bespoke food and drink packages and other catering options. See below for a brief rundown of approximate costs per hire type:

Group Booking

Get discounted tickets for groups of 20 or more when booking an inseason film in advance! Perfect for fundraisers, social groups, clubs or special events. 

Private Hire

Offers exclusive use of  your chosen cinema for you and your guests. You can also choose to screen an inseason film, a classic film or your own private presentation. The ideal option if you're after that VIP red-carpet feel.

Classic Rooftop Hire

Fancy a film with a view? Our beautiful Rooftop cinema offers a gorgeous view of Glen Huntly and surrounds, alongside your favourite movie snacks and beverages from our fully stocked Rooftop Bar. Public and private hire options available.  

Rooftop hire is only available in the warmer months.

Children's Birthday Parties

Make your child feel like a silver screen star! We offer guests specialised party packages, where every birthday child has their name up on the outdoor marquee sign above the cinema entrance for the week in which their party falls. 

Classic Southside Hire

Hire our funkiest space, used for jazz, blues, comedy and so much more. You and your guests can make full use of the lighting and sound system, or simply use the room for its comforts.

You also have the option of screening your favourite cult film in this intimate bar space! Up to 40 guests can be comfortably seated, and you can enjoy our full F&B menu while you watch. 

Foyer Hire

Take over our beautiful & iconic foyer! This entire large space, a pop-up bar and a staff member to serve drinks are all up for grabs.
