We're proud to be hosting the opening and closing night screenings of the 2022 South African Film Festival. SAFF celebrates film that reflects South Africa's diverse population and complex political and social reality. 

Opening the festival is Nobody's Died Laughing, a revealing documentary that celebrates the life and work of performing artist, satirist and activist Pieter Dirk Uys. Screening Saturday 7 May, 7pm. 

The closing night film is Beyond Moving, a documentary on the exceptionally talented ballet dancer Siphe November, who leaves his small township in South Africa to follow his dreams and finally joins Canada's national ballet school. Screening Sunday 22 May, 5pm.
